Yes yes yes I survived the whole of last week. All the 3 hour long sleeps, dying during lessons and stress that does not have any unit of measurement. I swear I died during chem test, my brain just turned off due to the lack of sleep. 15/25 for math test..put me at the bottom of my class =/ not a very good start, though I know that I lost 5 marks because I don't know how to minus 2 properly.
School ended on friday, and it was a mix of worrying for troy and doing last minute packing for the trip. The 12 hour long bus ride to baha base camp was quite..thought inducing, but no doubt I had to clear my mind for the climb ahead.
To make the long story short, the climb to gunung ayam, don't ask why it's called chicken, was relatively easy for us since it was bright and sunny throughout as compared to rainy and slippery for the previous years. It was only there that we realised how different theory and application are, especially when we were choosing our first campsite, how the dead fall could have knocked down the whole cluster of trees and just collapsed on all of the tents at night, extreme but possible. But being a tentman was of course fulfilling despite the tiny items that go missing very easily, haha somehow we always managed to find the missing tent peg right at the last minute. And then there's walrus and you're beautiful and raymond lai o.o I hardly slept on the last night at the summit due to the cold, but when I stepped out of the tent and looked up at the stars, I was glad I didn't.
The climb itself was once again..an escape from reality..I feel like an escapist once again. But somehow escaping from everything allowed me to think about certain things much more clearly. The toughness of the climb somehow cleared my mind..and got rid of my other sicknesses as well. Sometimes you need to let life turn you upside down, so you can live the right side up.Despite the tiredness and the heavy haversack, I really enjoyed this trip. 35th! =D
Ahh, so I'm back, back to reality, with this workload that is currently non existant because I've yet to sort everything out..nor do I have the mental capacity to do so. My attempted rest just now wasn't very successful..especially with the constant smses coming in about all the projects and stuff. I shall save the long sleep for tonight.
I just randomly went to the nrp website and I realised that the results are up! Totally unexpected =D

You can thank your stars all you want, but,
I'll always be the lucky one
