Project sunshine is in the grand finals! Good job and a very big thanks to everyone who made this project possible =) all the volunteers, our seniors who started the project, mr wi, mr tan..everyone. I never thought that I'd have a chance to get into the grand finals in my 4 years of being here, even if I thought that my project was good, grand finals was something that I'd never consider. But with that said, helping the residents is still the priority, whatever the outcome of the grand finals is, we're still going to go ahead with everything we have planned to help the residents =)
We had a little get together at f6 last night haha, played games and ate snacks and slept late. Sleep was good =) haha something I miss a lot..
There were no lessons today because of the ptg that was supposed to span the whole day, but I had to get up early to go for the briefing for gf. Went back to boarding school to take a nap before going back to school to help out at the smtp and ibp booths. From around 10am to 7pm, the few of us were stationed there telling parents about our experiences. For me, it was like..a reflection, of what I had learnt while being in both smtp and ibp, all the opportunities I've been given..experiences I've had, things I would never really think about in my free time. I found it quite fun relating my experience to the parents, especially to those who were so eager to know so much, and I still can't believe that I survived a conversation in CHINESE. And like troy said everytime we clicked play, I am proud to be a smtp(and ibp) student.
It was mr alwyn low's last day too so we got to see him for the last time before he leaves for..london? I remember that, like most others, I didn't really like him initially because of how he treated us, like, we didn't really respect him back then. But through this period of time, you can really see how he has learnt through being a relief teacher, how he can get in touch with his students, which is what many full time teachers are unable to do. Though he won't see this, I really thank him a lot for everything that he has done for us in smtp, being our relief teacher for almost any subject(bio, chem, math, you name it, he can teach it), and especially during chats this year.
Results are out and they aren't as bad as I thought they would be but at least I managed to keep my msg below 2.5 throughout the year..not too bad but not too good either, really have to pia for exams.
Speaking of exams, we received our exam schedule earlier this week, and BOOM! 4 more days of studying gone. Everyone thought that exams would start on term 4 week 4 initially, 5th october, but they decided to have the first paper on 1st october, CHILDREN'S DAY! Maybe they're trying to make it clear to us that we aren't kids anymore..
Had dinner in mr sng's room just now..kinda miss being in f1, though I'm only 2 floors higher, it was much easier to drop by mr sng's place back then.
Really have to start my no nonsense studying tomorrow, and the september holidays will be spent in the boarding school since I need to go back to school to prepare for gf and study as well. JIAYOU!to the hillary challenge peeps too, gor, shy, leggy =)
