It's super late already so I'll make this a quick one. Continuing on the night out at alex's house, learnt how to play mahjong and drank alex's..concoction. All that right before writing my ihc essay. I was struggling to get it done with all the tiredness
Went home for barely an hour on saturday before going to clementi to meet the family for the first time. On first sight, you wouldn't think that the family is a needy family, in fact, with the well furnished house and big tv you might even think that they're quite well to do. Later on we found out that there was only one breadwinner for that household and she barely earns enough to pay the bills. Furthermore she's moving out since she got married so she'll have to support the other side of the family as well. In other words situation just got worse. They seemed really grateful to us for being able to offer the tuition for the daughter..though I wish that I could do so much more. Ahh oh well, one step at a time.
Another cip today that was not very successful haha. Sold bears with jim. We were supposed to make use of the ben 10 thing at united square to sell more but unfortunately we weren't given permission. There was even the whole idea about the bear being the new monster in the show..okay this isn't my idea obviously. I probably repeated the lines "Good afternoon we are selling" and I get cut off because most of the people can't even be bothered to listen. But almost everyone who listened actually bought the bear, which isn't much considering we sold..2. There was one who even said that she spent all her money shopping and walked off laughing happily. 不要脸. Sorry we couldn't sell more though =(
At this rate I'll be getting..3 hours of sleep. I'll need a lot of luck surviving sana.
