Full day rehearsal at hq today. Reached school at around 6.45am. Then gang hao karlton just reached also so he opened the bunk. Then went to hq. Had 2 reahersals in total before the full dress rehearsal. During one of the rehearsals some of the supporting contingent people laughed. Don't really blame them for not being able to appreciate pds. And have they ever seen themselves marching? Got our rifles taped with the shiny tape. Collected our uniform. A shirt with a red stripe down the center in fron and a cross on the back, no.1 pants and no.1 cap. Too bad we had to tuck in the shirt =/. Had spring roll, chee cheong fun and some cake for first tea break, rice with scallop, fish, vege, chicken for lunch, nugget, some thing and cake for second tea break and chicken, black pepper sausage, mashed potatoes and baked beans for dinner. The food was quite good =).
Before full dress rehearsal ting feng talked to us. He said pds is to impress others, and to express ourselves. Then he asked us what we thought the x on our backs simbolised. Then he said to him it simbolises a cross to shut those people who laughed at us up, and to impress others with our performance so much that they couldn't speak. Performance, for the drills was quite ok i guess, but the formation was totally screwed, the lighting was screwed, the lights were all in places they shouldn't be, like blinding us with spoltlights in our face, and not where they should be, when bertram was doing triple jumbo and couldn't see his rifle, luckily he still managed to catch it. Broke many records according to aaron, first performance at night, no.1 pants, the unique uniform..lol. Took some photos at hq(heh even though cameras were supposedly not allowed) and in the bunk.
Real thing next sunday, not very far away. Must not screw up. PDS in the moonlight.
