Lessons officially started yesterday and I had work for lit lol. Lit turned out to be much more interesting than I thought, it's focused on intertextualities, philosophy and media studies. First term we're doing matrix then term 2 we're doing franky. Mr mercer's lessons are quite interesting, not in the like, very humorous or something way but just, interesting. One of our homework was to watch simpsons and record down any intertextual connections, but boarding school doesn't have cable =( anyway I've always liked lit but have never been like, good at it.

Chinese lesson was killer, we had to do some zong he tian kong that is super hard, and I ended up guessing most of the answers. Troy went to choose one with the word 牵 in it because it has a cow in it..wth. Jun xian was trying to escape being the rep with weird reasons like asthma and having to go to beijing lol. Somehow I'm the class rep again this year o.o okay at least it doesn't sound as long zhong as chairman.

Today there was nice breakfast, fried mee siam with fried fish or fishballs. There were only two with the fried fish left, and the rest would all be fishballs but jordy went to take the fishball one even though he was going to take two servings lol. The fried fish is so much nicer, except that the noodle is super spicy compared to the others for some reason.

Math was quite killer again, had problems understanding the whole binomial thing and factorials. Managed to get it in the end but I'm quite confident I'll forget it quite quickly @_@ chem was after ihe so everyone was going to the comp lab at different times, then when chen yang entered mr loh asked "你们从哪里来的" and chen yang said "我们从中国来的"

After school was orientation, the whole thing started rather abruptly, but overall I think it went quite well. Good job to the organising committee(part a tt), pds performers, drill contingent and shyh horng lol. I'm sure you guys impressed the sec 1s, no regrets, I know all of you did your best =) good job.
