FINALLY! End of the hectic week.

I shall do it in..chr..chron..chorn..chronological order. Wednesday..hmm. Can't remember what happened. Oh yar, happy birthday to bertram haha, one and only and best part c ps we have ever had =) We watched this video about a guy who aged damn fast cos of his sickness during assembly. Had pds training after school.

Yesterday was a super tiring and depressing day. Math was quite okay, the variations test was quite straightforward. Everything started getting screwed once i got back my marks. Wednesday got back geog, 13/25. Lost 7 marks for the first volcano question. Everything else in the paper was pretty much okay but that question just screwed up the whole thing. Then go back bio. Bio was quite okay, just that a repeat of last term, 26/35, half mark from a1 again. Nevermind at least i did my best. But stupid paxton had to come and say, actually you only need 0.25 marks to get a1. English..28/50. Class msg was 4.00. Somehow the marker screwed up my summary, i just gave the paper to mr siew, havent even told him what to check and he found 3 points in my summary that werent given to me straightaway. Last one last one, and i shall stop talking about tests and everything or else someone will complain haha, ihc 12/20, which means my double au subjectSSSS are c5. Depressing, when i was calculating msg, i was like, key in first 4 c5s, 20 altogether, darren choo: "oh no mine total(every single subject) is 19"

After school we went to nus. Boqing and ngpeng wanted to eat subway, and i was broke lol. And ngpeng tried some..red wine sauce which i never knew existed, luckily i didn't, cos he said it sucks. We went back to the lab. Saw sangit talking to panda, we made sure everything was correct, then stoned and tried asking sangit for instructions, he needed to check everything first, then he was talking..and talking..for 2 hours. And finally at around 5.30 we started doing something. Checked all the components. Had to leave early cos of boarding school curfew. Was staring at my watch on the bus..7.55, should be able to make it back to boarding school in 5mins. Walked to salt centre, look at watch, 7.59, run. Thankfully made it back on time and went for the gym accredisomething thing to allow us to use the gym.

According to ngpeng, when they were about to solder, sangit told them he didn't prepare the copper board. In other words we were screwed cos that was supposed to be like the main improvement on portability from the semi finals, and the exact reason we got kicked out of semis at first. Anyway we decided to use the circuit on the experimental board which was big and bulky. And then sangit told us something else very last minutely, in the lab we have a power generator which has + - and gnd which is ground, this is some electrical circuit thing that we needed. We looked at our battery, + and - only, how? Then sangit told us we needed two batteries, then short circuit the + and - together to make gnd. No choice, ngpeng had to buy it right before our presentation. And then..the spectacular part happens.

Just as we connected the circuit like this for the first time, smoke started coming out. And then, the whole wire just caught fire, really, like a dao huo xian. So they quickly disconnected it and i even saw an arc of electricity just as the wire came out. Damn freaky. It was like, literally watching your work go up in smoke. Luckily we had all the extra wires, managed to put something together to still make it for the presentation. Overall presentation was quite okay i guess, managed to answer all the questions and yvonne loi still said she was quite interested in it.
