DAY 1
Reached Amoy Quee Camp. The first thing we saw, a poster telling people that there are 3 male cobras in amoy quee camp. Great start to spec course. Fell in at the car park and saw a group of ns men carrying sar 21s, must be hunting the cobras.
Moved on to the bigger car park. Surrendered contraband items then we were told our platoons. Got into Alpha 1 with shyhhorng, yujie and nicholas. We boarded the bus.
Arrived at sister pek. Went to put our bags into an empty bunk then went for a talk by the warrant officer. Quite amusing. There was one part about fire safety. Then he say when you see a small fire don't just stare at it cos the small fire will become big fire. Sometimes the fire so small that you can pee on it. Then he said make sure you close the door of your bunk when there is a fire then run out. Close door already how to run out.
Lunch next. Quite nice. In fact i shall summarise all the meals. Quit nice. Except maybe for some of the breakfasts and suppers. Shyhhorng went to spill sauce on me. And its now 1 or 2 drops o.o he carry the packet like..hold one end then let the whole packet drop down then he let all the sauce spill on me.
Then there was another talk by CPT Elizabeth Lee who is the NCC Land(WEST) District Commander, see i know my hierachy well. Basically is that whatever you learn in ncc can help you earn money next time. Everything also money money money. Then a talk by some teacher officer in some school, what she taught us is that adventurous spirit is to make fun out of nonsense. And then a talk by some guy. When he was introduced everyone clapped only to realise..he wasn't there yet. Okay so basically he talked about his life. Then.."go for a 5mins break. After you come back you will have your gsk test" -everyone stun- gsk test was quite okay. How many parts are there in a password? Go define this yourself. It was a question in the test, seems quite no link right? Actually got link but i shall not say here cos it's confidential.
Then..waiting time which is basically stoning inside our bunks. Then i killed a bed bug. The mattress is quite nice. Shyhhorng was saying how he won't get 2sg cos he will get 1sg. Yujie wants to go home cos spec course super waste of time. We were told criteria to get 2sg, 80/100. On the way down to collect bed sheet and stuff i passed by a whiteboard with some soccer match scores, singapore against someone. The first time i passed by, losing 2-4. The next time i passed by, lost 3-7.
Then i went to sleep.
DAY 2
Took over as platoon IC. The whole day was 20% trainfire and ifc tests. 5% meals. 75% waiting time. Failed loading of ammunition. We had to load 20 rounds in 30 secs others only had to do 5 rounds in 8 secs. Assembling was super lucky. My firing pin slipped through the hand covering the gap and i had to re insert it, and then my retaining pin was on the wrong side so i had to remove and replace, and i still managed to pass in under 50secs o.o
Immediate action drill, no feeling. Have to observe the chamber to see if the rounds were already inside. Then check clear is only to be shouted when there are no rounds inside. No feelins supposed to make sure there are rounds inside when you observe, then one guy go shout CHECK CLEAR and the sir shouted CHECK CLEAR YOUR HEAD. Then for marksmanship fundamentals, supposed to put a coin lying down on the muzzle of the rifle and fire to see if you can get marksman. Then one guy went to try to put the coin standing up and the sir vomit blood. Assembling of rifle..one guy went to flick the bolt carrier group and the bolt flew damn far away.
Movement by day, the walk high alert state, very amusing, all the people keep aiming the rifle at the sir as they walk towards them. Then leopard crawl on concrete got one guy cannot move cos the floor too smoothe.
And then another talk which is lame. "if the commandant happens to drop a soccer ball in your school, your logistics specialist will be in charge of it. So if the soccer ball ends up in the cadets mouth, you cannot go and oi say why you eat my ball".
Was ic for whole day. Not bad. Slept at 9.30. Somehow all the hci guys sleep damn early.
DAY 3
Breakfast was amusing. Found out many things about shyhhorng.
Facts about shyhhorng:
1. Can't differentiate fish and chicken

3. Doesn't know how to properly flatten a drink packet.
ic: whole lot flatten your packet drink to save space -unfolds corners etc and flattens it-
shyhhorng: -crushes whole packet-
me: o.o
shyhhorng: i don't know how to flatten packet
The ics commands quite funny. Got one time she said DARI KENAN BLUR(bilang) then stopped at some number. So she said BLUR. Then someone go shout 1! then she said DARI KENAN BLUR again and no response. Then she said BLUR again and then they went to start numbering off.
Whole day was basically mutual presentations. Which meant listening to around 24 people present for like 10mins each. Which meant sitting for 4hours straight. Trainfire mutual first. Some guy called yeo yu jie went to salute to the ic when taking over. Another guy was cursing throughout the whole presentation cos he didn't know anything.
After lunch we had to go back to take our ifc mutuals. Then shyhhorng and i run all the way up. Then we entered the bunk and we were like, ay why so different. Then we realised our cabinets had no lock, and when we opened it up it was almost empty so we were like WTH WHO TOUCH OUR STUFF. Then i realised we were on 4th floor so i just walked out feeling stupid. Then like 5mins later i saw shyhhorng walking out laughing. 5th floor bunk is not good.
IFC mutual. Even more amusing. tracer round become tracey round. And the guy didn't realise his mistake despite everyone laughing like crazy. Then when he asked one volunteer go up demonstrate target indication he chose his own school person. So that guy didn't know the mistake too and he just said "so basically you just say section and then the indication and watch my tracey". Another one, at the end of his presentation he said "thank you for your attention. -realises a guy was sleeping- OI WHY YOU SLEEP-" Did you know that when sunlight enters your eyes it makes your eyes shrink? And the effect of target size on judging distances, "bigger targets are larger than smaller targets"
Then we had some heritage trail. And kendrick said aar is after accident review, then the maam laughed and said "no lar its after action review. oh was that a joke?" Some guy shitted in the shower cubicle. And then shyhhorng asked my bunk people to clean the toilet cos he was ic.
After that was stoning from 7+ till sleeping time.
DAY 4
With all the tests over comes a day of even more waiting time. Start of the day was bag check. They were checking for cigarettes cos 3 people were caught smoking in the middle of the night. Damn smart, last day already then go smoke in the end ooc, waste time lar. And they're like super desperate also. Guess where they got the cigarettes from. They found 3 not fully smoked cigarettes and went to relight them.
Shyhhorng talked to a malay in chinese.
guy: where is the extra food?
shyhhorng: 在那里
guy: -stun-
Then we got to play with weapons. And yongle asked us to help him give food to the saf personnel o.o
POP. HCINCC got 5 out of the 12 awards.

Then..presentation of envelopes with certs, army-ncc badge and..rank. We remembered who is the guy before hci in the nominal roll. Then after him i was thinking like die next is yujie then shyhhorng then nicholas then me. And then..our apc said the name of the guy AFTER all the hci. And then i suddenly felt very nervous. In the end our pc was the one with our envelopes. 2nd time that shyhhorng, yujie and i got promoted together, first time was when we got promoted to lcp together. Suddenly feel quite nostalgic especially since cadet life is ending.
Went to wish zhengxiang HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I may be the 50+ person to wish him happy birthday but was the first to give him a birthday hug. Got contacts from alpha 1. Goodbyes. Got on bus. Spec course over. Just like that. I feel like a yangcheng.
PRESENT DAY
Present day is not the day we receive presents. Went to yongles house to finish up last bits of performance. He has two dogs now o.o one big one small. And i forgot how to spell the breed of the smaller dog again so i have to use the much more not nice spelling but it sounds the same, shit zoo. Damn act cute, keep lying on its back. Then it keep licking me for no reason and follow me around o.o see yongle it wants me. Give me give me.
Tuition tomorrow. Nooo holidays are half gone. Wait must be positive, there's still half of the holidays left.
